Bimetallic Nanocluster‐Based Light‐Emitting Diodes With High External Quantum Efficiency and Saturated Red Emission
Highly stable bimetallic gold–copper nanocluster, [Au₂Cu₆(Sadm)₆(DPPEO)₂], whose phosphine oxide groups enable strong intermolecular interactions that enhance crystallization and solid-state luminescence. Leveraging its high photoluminescence and stability, a solution-processed nanocluster LED was fabricated, achieving pure red emission (~668 nm) with a high external quantum efficiency of 12.6% and brightness of 1246 cd/m².
Local Strain Triggers Polymorphic Phase Transformation in Layered Materials
Atomic-resolution microscopy reveals that local strain relaxation around crystal defects triggers polymorphic phase transformations in layered lead oxide. By identifying “tweed” microstructures as localized orthorhombic domains within a tetragonal matrix, this work establishes strain engineering as a predictable tool for patterning nanoscale phase domains. This provides a composition-preserving strategy to tailor the properties of advanced 2D materials

A dual heteroatom (N,P)-doped carbon nanostructure grafted on nickel nanoparticles synergistically enhances the catalytic effect for H2O adsorption during the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). We developed a one-step pyrolysis route to synthesize N,P-codoped carbon grafted on Ni nanoparticles as an efficient electrocatalyst for H2 generation.
